img_7427All you need to remain calm no matter what is going on is the key to your mind, and the knowledge of how to unlock your limitless potential to work with life events as they present themselves.

Breathe. Take a moment and breathe in slowly, and breathe out. Do this a couple of times just focusing on your breath. With your next breathe in, imagine taking the breath all the way down to your feet. As you breathe out, let go of whatever is in your mind. Simply blow it away. As you breathe in and out like this focus on different parts of your body from your feet to your head. Within ten breaths you will feel different and more relaxed.

If you are facing a challenge at the moment, don’t try to ignore it. It won’t go away on its own. Face it. Chose your moment and then ask yourself what it is that is troubling you. What are you worried about? What do you think might happen? Is there any way to change or influence it? No? Then there really isn’t any point in worrying about it. It will resolve with time. Yes? Can you make the changes you can see are needed? No? Then there is no point in worrying. Yes? Do what you need to do to make those changes. Be realistic. Don’t set yourself up to fail. Make your goals achievable and celebrate each step you take, And breathe.

Plan rewards. This is important. Whatever it is that makes you feel good – plan to do it. A long warm bath. Early to bed. A good book. An evening with friends. Plan it and do it. Mini rewards, like tea breaks or 10 minutes away from the task are also necessary.

Move. Movement is good for the body and literally shifts blocked energy, be that in the body or the mind. What exercise can you take now, within your normal routine? Again, make it achievable and just do it.

Laugh. Laughter is like magic. The brain doesn’t know the difference between forced laughter and spontaneous laughter. You laugh and the brain will release happy chemicals. Laugh now. And smile. And breathe.

Calm yourself with herbal tea. Smell beautiful smells with essential oils, book something that will make you feel good.

Reach out for support. Hypnotherapy is wonderful for unlocking the mind’s positive potential. As always, diet matters. There are so many emotional responses that are actually triggered or aggravated by food. Herbal medicine will rebalance your health.
